Use the following format as default date format in Administration→Configuration→International settings.
German long date format
%A, %e. %B %Y
Output: Sonntag, 31. März 2024
German short date format
%d.%m.%Y
Output: 31.03.2024
Japanese long date format
%Y年 %m月 %d日 (%A)
Output: 2025年 03月 08日 (金曜日)
Japanese short date format
%Y年 %m月 %d日 (%A)
Output: 2025年03月08日
