How to use a static page as a widget

Goal

You have a static page and want to use it as a widget - e.g. to have it appear in the right sidebar of your blog.

How it's done

  1. Create the static page.

  2. Go to WidgetsBlockParser Widgets and enable your static page as a BlockParser Widget.

  3. Go to WidgetsManage Widgets.
Drag the BlockParser Widget of your static page from the Available Widgets section and drop it where you'd like to have it - e.g. the Right bar.
    Hit the Save changes button.

  4. Reload your blog and see your static page in the right sidebar.

Done! :)

Bonus: Have you seen that the “Menu” static page is used as BlockParser Widget as well?
